Which donor base in the SEC has the deepest pockets?

Thanks to Kristi Dosh of The Business of College Sports web site, we have our answer.

Florida took in $39,350,660 for the 2009-10 school year, according to Dosh's research. That accounted for 34 percent of Florida's total revenue that year, Dosh reports.

LSU was right behind Florida with $38,255,521 coming in from donors during the 2009-10 school year, which also accounted for 34 percent of LSU's total revenue.

Seven of the 12 SEC athletic departments collected more than $23 million from donors in 2009-10. In addition to Florida and LSU, the other five were Alabama ($33,739,056), Auburn ($29,731,122), Tennessee ($27,936,952), Georgia ($27,354,228) and South Carolina ($23,987,283).
