The Chick-fil-A Bowl will again match the SEC versus the ACC next season on Dec. 31 at 7:30 p.m. ET, bowl officials announced Tuesday.

(Pssst, Heather Dinich, the SEC has won the past five national championships, including the past four by four different teams. Does the ACC even know there is such a thing as the BCS National Championship Game?)

The Chick-fil-A Bowl is the ninth-oldest bowl game in the country and hosts the longest-running rivalry series between the ACC and SEC. Now in its 44th year, the Chick-fil-A Bowl has a string of 14 consecutive sellouts.

The 2010 game between Florida State and South Carolina had a TV rating of 5.0 and a peak of 8.4 million viewers, making it the most-viewed Chick-fil-A Bowl in history and the top-rated non-BCS game on ESPN.
