College football traditions quarterfinals

The EA Sports' "NCAA Football Traditions" tournament is going strong and we've entered the quarterfinals stage.

Two SEC teams advanced to the second round of play and one got here on the classic 12-5 upset. Twelfth-seeded LSU and Mike the Tiger took down No. 5 seed Auburn's War Eagle.

LSU's tradition edged out Auburn's by taking 54 percent of the vote, with more than 51,000 people voting.

LSU now takes on No. 4 seed Florida State's Chief Osceola and Renegade. FSU topped No. 13 Florida's alligator head tap by getting 83 percent of the vote after more than 41,000 total votes were cast.

Eighth-seeded Georgia and the Uga mascot defeated No. 9 seed Tennessee and the Volunteers entrance onto the field with Smokey with 58 percent of the vote. More than 44,000 votes were recorded.

Georgia now takes on No. 1 seed Notre Dame and the Fighting Irish tapping the "Play Like a Champion Today" sign before running out onto the field.
