Two Vols to miss UCLA game

Who says you don't have to go to class to play football in the SEC?

Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer announced following practice Monday night that two players -- reserve cornerback Brent Vinson and reserve defensive tackle Donald Langley -- would miss the UCLA game after violating the athletic department's class attendance policy.

There's not a uniform class attendance policy in the SEC, but the league does mandate that every school come up with its own policy and enforce that policy.

Mississippi State's All-SEC safety, Derek Pegues, will also miss the Bulldogs' opener after missing too many classes and violating Mississippi State's policy.
