Winning the Gators' eating contest

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The early wake-up calls and sweltering heat have done nothing to curb the appetites of the Florida players.

The Gators' offensive linemen were putting it away Monday morning at breakfast. Eggs, bacon, grits, waffles, fruit. You name it, and they were chomping down on it.

Sorry about the pun.

The biggest eater among the offensive linemen is redshirt freshman guard Ian Silbermann, according to sophomore guard Jon Halapio.

"I remember one time we ate at a Chinese buffet, and about 30 minutes after that, before he came over to my apartment, he grabbed a couple of Big Macs," Halapio said with admiration.
