LSU coach Les Miles said he hasn’t read any of quarterback Jordan Jefferson’s comments from earlier this week and really was unconcerned about anything that Jefferson said.

Jefferson met with the media Monday for the first time since his arrest and suspension. While Jefferson praised Jarrett Lee for the job he’d done during Jefferson’s absence, Jefferson said it was very important to him to be the Tigers’ starting quarterback again.

Also, Jefferson said he had no regrets about his legal problems.

“The only thing I could tell you is that I know who he is and I know that he’s a guy who’s a great teammate and very supportive of Jarrett Lee,” Miles said. “I don’t know what all was said, but I know we’ve built a team based on competition and the ability to compete for positions.

“Frankly, for four weeks, it was very obvious that Jarrett Lee had the run of the team and did a great job with it. So I don’t know exactly what Jordan said or didn’t say, but I know who he is, and he has been a great teammate.”

Miles sent Jefferson into the game last week against Kentucky to score the Tigers’ first touchdown, a move that was greeted by boos from the Tiger Stadium crowd. Miles has said that Lee remains LSU's quarterback.
