At least one voter has Alabama No. 1

Everybody loves to dissect a Top 25 voter’s ballot.

So dissect away on the one Doug Lesmerises of The Cleveland Plain Dealer submitted this week.

Lesmerises has Alabama ranked No. 1 this week and Florida No. 5. The Gators are one spot behind Houston.

He also has LSU ranked No. 14 and Auburn No. 19, but doesn’t have Ole Miss ranked at all. That’s after having the Rebels ranked No. 4 in the preseason.

Lesmerises explains his logic as being based entirely on what teams have done on the field this season and not a reflection of the past.
