FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Steve Spurrier made some nice adjustments for his Gamecocks at the half.

South Carolina went right down the field on the opening drive of the third quarter and capped things off with a beautifully run quarterback draw by Connor Shaw that went for a 9-yard score to cut Arkansas' lead to 24-20.

This is exactly what the Gamecocks needed. They were pretty balanced rushing and passing on the drive, with five throws and four rushes. This Arkansas defense has been suspect this season, but played extremely well in the first half. South Carolina's drive was methodical yet effective — and it's going to take drives like that to keep the Gamecocks in this one against the Razorbacks' high-powered passing game.
