They've won the past two national championships in college football and the past two Heisman trophies, and their rivalry is perhaps the fiercest in all of sports.
On Tuesday night, we get an inside look at what makes the Alabama-Auburn rivalry so special, and at times, so insane. ESPN Films' "Roll Tide/War Eagle" will premier at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
For those of you who haven't grasped just how deeply woven this rivalry is in the state of Alabama, you'll certainly be educated after watching this one-hour special.
And if you already live it every day, sit back and soak it all in one more time.
I've said it over and over again. There is no way to fully describe the passion that exists in this rivarly, and sadly, the sheer hate on both sides that has more than once spiraled out of control.
How else do you explain Harvey Updyke's actions?
Maybe former Auburn basketball star Charles Barkley said it best: "We have an abundance of rednecks in Alabama who screw it up for everybody else."
