At this rate, the end of the season can't get here soon enough for Ole Miss' football team.
Earlier this week, the university announced that Houston Nutt wouldn't return next season as coach. Athletic director Pete Boone also announced that he was stepping down once his successor was found.
Then on Saturday night, Ole Miss went out and lost its fifth straight football game, this one a 27-7 decision to Louisiana Tech at home.
Ole Miss (2-8, 0-6) will now return to SEC play against LSU next week and Mississippi State the final weekend of the regular season.
The Rebels have lost 12 straight SEC games dating back to last season. If they don't win again this season, it would mark their worst season since 1946 when they finished 2-7.
