Three from SEC are Butkus finalists

Three of the six finalists for the 2011 Butkus Award are from the SEC.

Alabama teammates Dont'a Hightower and Courtney Upshaw made the cut along with Georgia's Jarvis Jones. The Butkus Award is presented annually to the nation's top linebacker.

The other three finalists are Nebraska's Lavonte David, Boston College's Luke Kuechly and Notre Dame's Manti Te'o.

Hightower leads Alabama with 72 total tackles. Upshaw leads the Crimson Tide and is second in the SEC with 14 tackles for loss. Jones leads the SEC with 12.5 sacks and 18.5 tackles for loss.
