LSU coach Les Miles has won The Home Depot Coach of the Year Award. The award will be presented to him during The Home Depot College Football Awards, which air Thursday on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET.

In his seventh season at LSU, Miles led the Tigers to a 13-0 record for the first time in school history. The regular season culminated with a 42-10 win over Georgia in the SEC title game, which clinched LSU's spot in the Allstate BCS National Championship Game, where the top-ranked Tigers will take on No. 2 Alabama (11-1, 7-1).

Of LSU’s 13 wins, eight have come against ranked opponents and seven of those have been double digits. LSU has won 10 games by 20 points or more this season and is the only unbeaten team in the FBS.

If LSU defeats Alabama, the Tigers will be the first team to beat nine Associated Press top 25 teams in one season.
