With only the bowl games remaining in the 2011 college football season, the two best NFL draft prospects in the SEC, according to ESPN's Mel Kiper, were also two of the best players.

Kiper has Alabama running back Trent Richardson No. 3 and LSU cornerback Morris Claiborne No. 5 in his latest Big Board of the top 25 draft prospects. Richardson, a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, won the Doak Walker Award this season as the top running back in the country. Claiborne took home the Thorpe Award as the top defensive back in the country.

Richardson and Claiborne are the only two SEC players in Kiper's top 10. South Carolina receiver Alshon Jeffery is No. 12, Georgia offensive tackle Cordy Glenn No. 18 and Alabama linebacker Courtney Upshaw No. 19.

A year ago, the SEC had five players taken in the top six picks overall, and Alabama had four first-round selections.
