After losing one ESPNU 150 receiver from the state of Texas earlier in the day to Oregon, Texas A&M was able to keep Thomas Johnson of Dallas at home.
The 6-foot, 180-pound Johnson is ranked by ESPN as the No. 3 receiver prospect in the country. He announced Wednesday on ESPNU that he was signing with the Aggies. Earlier in the day, ESPNU 150 receiver Bralon Addison of Missouri City, Texas, switched from Texas A&M to Oregon.
Johnson was initially committed to Texas, but announced his decommitment from the Longhorns following the Under Armour All-America Game and visited Texas A&M the third weekend in January. He's ranked by ESPN as the No. 4 prospect in the state of Texas and brings a blend of speed and play-making ability that should fit in well in Kevin Sumlin's offense.
