Given what Mississippi State suffered through on offense last season, it has to be refreshing for the folks in Starkville to see the Bulldogs moving the ball and scoring points.
Clearly, Dan Mullen has improved this offense. But the defense has been the disappointment to this point. Georgia Tech beat Mississippi State 42-31 on Saturday and rolled up 482 total yards.
It's the third different time that the Bulldogs have given up at least 30 points this season and the second time they've surrendered 40 or more points.
Freshman receiver Chad Bumphis is a bright spot for the Bulldogs. He had six catches for 123 yards and a touchdown and should be something to see once he gets better players around him.
