Missouri quarterback James Franklin is currently a game-time decision to start in today's game against Arizona State, sources told ESPN.com.

Franklin aggravated his shoulder injury that he suffered during the spring during last week's 41-20 loss to Georgia. Sources indicated that the injury had nothing to do with his surgery, but he was injured when Bulldogs linebacker Jarvis Jones hit his arm as it was going forward for a throw.

Redshirt freshman Corbin Berkstresser will start if Franklin can't go.

It's unknown if Franklin will start or play today, but the hope is that his shoulder injury isn't too serious. The good news is that the coaching staff and the players feel very comfortable about having Berkstresser, who could make his first-career start, at quarterback. He took a majority of the first-team reps this spring with Franklin recovering from shoulder surgery and he knows the offense fairly well.

He could be in for a fun first start, as these teams were involved in quite the shootout in 2011. Arizona State won that game 37-30 in overtime.
