News of Marcus Lattimore's gruesome knee injury shook the college football world. Not only is he seen as one of the sport's best athletes, he is considered one of the game's best people.
For something like this to happen (again) to a player/person of his caliber is truly heartbreaking, but the hope is that he'll have another chance at a successful football career.
It's not a given, but as fellow ESPN.com colleague Jemele Hill writes, there's still a chance that another player, who basically squandered his college football career with poor off-field decisions could still get a chance at making millions in a sport that Lattimore loves dearly.
That player is former LSU cornerback Tyrann Mathieu, who was dismissed from the Tigers' football team this summer after reportedly failing a drug test and was recently arrested and charged with simple possession of marijuana.
