- Florida coach Urban Meyer deflects talk of a skirmish between Brandon Spikes and Tim Tebow following the Mississippi State game.
- Jeff Schultz of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution says Meyer went soft on Spikes with only a half-game suspension for the Vanderbilt game.
- Tennessee has lost its second middle linebacker for the season. Dave Hooker of The Knoxville News-Sentinel reports that Savion Frazier tore his ACL against South Carolina and will miss the remainder of the season.
