Tennessee needed everything from quarterback Tyler Bray Saturday. With Troy trying its hardest to pull off the upset inside Neyland Stadium, the junior gunslinger kept the Vols alive with his cannon of a right arm.

He threw for a school-record 530 yards and had five touchdown strikes in the Vols' 55-48 win over the Trojans. He came up with some big-time throws late, including a 46-yard touchdown pass to Justin Hunter to tie the game at 48 and a 24-yard pass to Hunter on Tennessee's next drive that set up the Vols' game-winning touchdown.

Bray has struggled all season in the fourth quarter, but he made quite the statement with his 175 yards and two touchdowns on 9-of-17 passing in the final quarter.

Bray's leadership has been called into question a few times this year, but when the Vols needed him most on Saturday, he was there to guide this team to victory. And he did it without making the mistakes that have plagued him all season, especially in the second half of games.

Four of Bray's five touchdown passes went for 21 yards or more, and he left the game with no interceptions for only the third time this season.
