Mark Ingram's ability to get yardage after contact and his ability to shoot through the smallest of creases are two of the qualities that are separating him from a cast of outstanding running backs this season in the SEC.

Alabama guard Mike Johnson said it best Saturday night following the 24-15 win over LSU.

"When you have a guy of his caliber breaking tackles, it makes it easy on us," Johnson said. "He finds the creases, no matter how small they are, and he's through there before you can blink."

Ingram, who had 144 yards rushing against an LSU defense that had been suffocating against the run, leads the country with 24 rushes of 15 yards or longer this season. The next closest guy in the SEC is Auburn's Ben Tate, who's 13th nationally with 17 rushes of 15 yards or longer.

According to the crew at ESPN Stats & Information, Ingram has 13 rushes of 20 yards or longer, which is tied for the most nationally along with Virginia Tech's Ryan Williams, UAB's Joseph Webb and UTEP's Donald Buckram.
