Ole Miss has dominated the statistics and time of possession in the first half, but LSU has the play that turned the game around.

With a half in the books, it's hard to say who's the better team -- LSU or Ole Miss?

The Tigers lead 17-15, even though it still looks like the LSU coaches aren't quite ready to turn sophomore quarterback Jordan Jefferson loose.

Then again, it was an awful throw by Jefferson that nearly dug a huge hole for the Tigers in the first quarter. His overthrow was intercepted by Cassius Vaughn and returned for a touchdown, and it looked like Ole Miss was about to go ahead 10-0.

But two penalties by the Rebels on the interception return brought the play back. They ended up trying a field goal that was blocked and returned for a touchdown the other way by LSU's Patrick Peterson, who continues to be one of THE impact players in the SEC this season.

Some of the best news for the Rebels is that Jevan Snead appears to be throwing the ball with confidence and has made several nice throws in the game. If Ole Miss is going to win this game, Snead is going to have to make some plays down the field in the passing game in the second half.

Other than one long run in the opening minutes, LSU has done an exellent job against Dexter McCluster.
