Tebow, Peek earn academic honors

For the second year in a row, Florida quarterback Tim Tebow has been named the Academic All-America of the Year.

Tebow has a 3.66 GPA as a family, youth and communication studies major.

He wasn't the only one from the SEC being honored for his academics.

Alabama tight end Colin Peek was also named to the first team, while Alabama offensive guard Barrett Jones was named to the second team. Peek has a 3.79 GPA in finance, and Jones has a 4.0 in management.
