Bama QB commit's unique journey

It wasn't that long ago that David Cornwell was an unknown, a strong-armed kid from Oklahoma hoping to catch the eye of college recruiters across the country. But over the course of three years and several moves, he transformed into one of the elite quarterback prospects in the country, and on June 14 he committed to the defending champion Alabama Crimson Tide.

So how exactly did his journey unfold? RecruitingNation senior writer Mitch Sherman has the story.

Sherman also profiled Cornwell's relationship with childhood friend Chase Sears. Recently, Cornwell returned to Nebraska for a visit before Sears went off to the U.S. Navy.
