Alabama most valuable team in SEC

According to Forbes Magazine, Alabama is the most valuable team in the SEC in terms of what's left for academics, including football scholarships, and non-revenue sports after the cost of running the football program.

Forbes says Alabama has a value of $92 million with a profit of $38 million. The Crimson Tide are fifth overall nationally.

Alabama's value right now is 31 percent greater than what it was before Nick Saban left the Miami Dolphins to come back to college football.

Texas was No. 1 overall in the Forbes study with a $119 million value and a profit of $59 million.

Eight of the 20 most valuable college teams are from the SEC:

7. LSU $86 million ($39 million profit)

9. Georgia $84 million ($45 million profit)

12. South Carolina $80 million ($37 million profit)
