JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Sights and scenes from the Florida-Georgia pregame, the contest formerly known as the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party:

  •
Grown men wearing Georgia football jerseys and leaning out of cars and barking.
  • Grown men (and women) leaning out of cars and doing the Gator chomp.
  • Lots of smack talk about who was the better quarterback: Matthew Stafford or Tim Tebow?
  • Lots of smack talk about who was the most explosive player: Knowshon Moreno or Percy Harvin?
  • Elderly men driving golf carts with Georgia flags on one side and Confederate flags on the other.
  • Some not-so-nice, expletive-filled altercations between Florida and Georgia fans.
  • Some of the best tailgating you'll ever find.
  • Anticipation beyond anything I've seen for a regular-season SEC football game.
  • And the worst traffic imaginable. Yes, it is possible to drive 10 miles in the same city and sit in the car for two hours. Whose idea was it to have the Duval County Fair the same time as this football game?
  • Oh, and lots and lots of drinking. Good thing they don't call it the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party anymore.

Let's hope the game is half as eventful.
