Dogs' Jackson 'peacemaker' in taxi incident
By ESPN.com staff
The whole Georgia taxi cab incident got a lot of play in the media and on message boards, even though it was determined by police investigators that nobody on Georgia's team did anything wrong.
So in the spirit of fairness, let's give some credit where credit is due.
Backup tailback Dontavius Jackson acknowledged this week that he was the person in the taxi cab who police described as a "peacemaker" and that he tried to diffuse the situation. An Athens, Ga., couple said they were threatened and struck by several people in the cab, and they initially said they were all members of the Georgia football team.
Jackson said he couldn't go into specifics about the incident because it was still under investigation.
