Miami and Southern California were the final two in the ESPN.com pipeline challenge, and the Hurricanes came out on top as the top producer of NFL talent.

The three SEC teams making the 16-team bracket were No. 5 seed Tennessee, No. 8 seed Georgia and No. 13 seed Florida. Georgia was the only team to make it through to the second round and was defeated by No. 1 USC.

While LSU didn't crack the top 16, it's hard to ignore the talent the Tigers have put in the NFL in recent years.

They had a record 41 players on active NFL rosters when the 2009 season began last year. In addition to the 41 Tigers on active NFL rosters, LSU had another four players on practice squads and two players on injured reserve. The total of 47 former Tigers on NFL rosters to start the season was the most in school history.

What's more, 25 of the former Tigers were listed as starters for their NFL teams.

LSU had six more players taken in the 2010 NFL draft, but it was the first time since the 2003 draft that the Tigers didn't have a player selected in the first round.
