No hiccups for Dooley in debut
By ESPN.com staff
Even with not much expected of Tennessee this season, the Vols were supposed to roll past Tennessee-Martin in the opener.
And that's exactly what they're doing in surging out to a 50-0 lead.
It doesn't mean that Derek Dooley's club is ready to contend for the SEC championship. But maybe the Vols aren't as bad as everybody said they were going to be, either.
We'll find out more next week against Oregon, but it's a Tennessee team that has shown some quick-strike ability with five scoring plays of longer than 20 yards, including a 54-yard interception return for a touchdown by Prentiss Waggner.
Receiver Denarius Moore has a 58-yard run for a touchdown and a 42-yard catch for a touchdown, and the Vols are on their way to 500 yards of total offense.
