Arkansas defense steps up
By Brian Bennett
NEW ORLEANS -- Arkansas is down 10 with a quarter to go, thanks to its defense.
The Razorbacks allowed Ohio State to convert 6-of-8 third downs in the first half, many of them long distance. In the third quarter, the Buckeyes were 0-for-4 on third down. Ohio State got a little conservative on offense with the the big lead, but credit Arkansas for being aggressive on defense. The Razorbacks defensive line is doing a much better job of containing Terrelle Pryor and Boom Herron, though the pass defense is still a bit soft.
Having once trailed 28-7, the Hogs have fought back to make it a game. The fourth quarter doomed them against Alabama. Can they end the season with a reversal of that loss?
