SEC coaches' records vs. winning teams
By ESPN.com staff
We keep track of all sorts of records when it comes to head coaches.
We know their records on the road, their records at home, their records against nationally ranked teams and their records in games decided by a touchdown or less.
But what about their records against FBS teams that finished the season with a winning record?
One of the best ways to evaluate a coach is to examine how he's done against quality competition. Usually, the best way to determine if a team was indeed a quality opponent is judging how that team fared over the course of the entire season.
Obviously, there are exceptions, and where a coach has spent much of his career and how long he's coached can also be factors.
That said, anybody want to venture a guess as to who in the SEC owns the best career record against teams that finished the season with a winning record?
The answer is ... Georgia's Mark Richt.
