SEC all-time in the BCS standings

With the BCS standings debuting Sunday, we grabbed some notes from the SEC office to share with you.

Like most things college football, the SEC has dominated the BCS standings throughout its history. Since its debut in 1998, the SEC has the most appearances with 410. Here is a  look at each automatic-qualifying conference and its total appearances in the BCS standings (conference alignment at time of game played/counting first week of 2011 BCS standings):

1. SEC -- 410
2. Big 12 --  399
3. Big Ten --  357
4. ACC -- 316
5. Pac-12 --  293
6. Big East -- 152
7. Mountain West -- 112
8. WAC -- 72
