By the SEC numbers

Checking out some funky SEC numbers:

2: Alabama has only allowed two rushing touchdowns all season, which is the best in the SEC. Vanderbilt and LSU are second at five touchdowns allowed each.

9: The South Carolina-Tennessee game this weekend will feature the SEC’s second most competitive series since 2000. The 11 games between the two since 2000 have been decided by 9.0 points per game. Seven of the 11 games have been decided by nine points or less with only one being decided by more than 20 points. The closest rivalry in the SEC since 2000 is Georgia-South Carolina, with an average margin of 8.25 points per game.

54: Alabama's defense leads the SEC in three-and-outs and has held opponents to three-and-outs 54 of 101 times (53.4 percent). Against Tennessee, Alabama had 10 three-and-outs in 12 possessions.

15: Auburn quarterback Clint Moseley finished his first career start against LSU with 145 yards, which is the 15th-highest total for passing yards for an Auburn quarterback in his first start.

52: Tennessee’s Michael Palardy 52-yarder was the longest by a Tennessee kicker since Jeff Hall made a 53-yarder against Oklahoma State on Sept. 30, 1995. The field goal ties for the seventh-longest on the road and tied for the 14th longest in Vols history.

12: SEC field-goal kickers were a perfect 12-of-12 Saturday including five of more than 40 yards over the weekend.

88.6: The SEC has won 88.6 percent of its nonconference football games this year. In the last three regular seasons, the SEC has won 87 percent (114-17) of its games against nonconference foes.

23: South Carolina currently has 14 interceptions this season and is nine away from tying the school record of 23 in a season. The Gamecocks could get to that number sooner rather than later as they have 10 of those interceptions in the last three games.

30: Thirty of the last 31 meetings between Florida and Georgia have featured at least one of the two being ranked. The only time neither team was ranked in that time was last year. Florida has been ranked 25 times in that span, while Georgia has been ranked 23 times.

4: Arkansas wide receiver Joe Adams moved into fourth on Arkansas’ alltime career receiving yards list  against Ole Miss with his 124 yards. Adams now has 2,166 receiving yards in his career.
