Vols add late signee to 2012 class
By Chris Low
Tennessee has added a late signee to its 2012 class -- linebacker Kenneth Bynum of Jacksonville, Fla.
The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Bynum had originally committed to Cincinnati, but Tennessee offered him a scholarship a few days before signing day. He decided to extend his recruitment past signing day and took a visit to Tennessee.
The Vols lost a couple of linebackers -- Otha Peters and Dalton Santos -- in the final days leading up to signing day, and Bynum announced on Wednesday that he would be joining Tennessee in the fall.
Bynum is ranked by ESPN as the No. 56 outside linebacker prospect in the country. He was ranked as the No. 77 prospect in the state of Florida.
