Moore making move up Kiper's Big Board
By Chris Low
Texas A&M defensive end Damontre Moore has been a fast-riser on Mel Kiper's Big Board and checks in at No. 4 on Kiper's latest list of the top 25 NFL draft prospects.
Moore is fourth nationally with 10.5 sacks and also leads the SEC in knockdowns and quarterback hurries.
Georgia outside linebacker Jarvis Jones is No. 1 this week on the Big Board and is coming off a monster game in the Bulldogs' 17-9 win over Florida. Jones, who was slowed earlier this season by injuries, had 4.5 tackles for loss, including three sacks, and also forced two fumbles and recovered two fumbles.
Of the 25 players on Kiper's Big Board, 12 are from the SEC. In fact, seven of the top 12 players are from the SEC.
After Jones at No. 1 and Moore at No. 4, Texas A&M offensive tackle Luke Joeckel is No. 5, Alabama offensive guard Chance Warmack No. 6, Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner No. 9, LSU defensive end Barkevious Mingo No. 11 and LSU defensive end Sam Montgomery No. 12.
The other SEC players on the list are Georgia defensive tackle John Jenkins No. 15, Missouri defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson No. 16, Florida defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd No. 20, Texas A&M offensive tackle Jake Matthews No. 21 and Tennessee receiver Justin Hunter No. 25.
Texas A&M is the only team in the country with three players on Kiper's latest Big Board.
