A snapshot of the new staffs in the SEC

The four new head coaches in the SEC are busy finalizing their staffs, and a few assistants are simply changing addresses within the league.

Below is a snapshot of what the new staffs look like to this point. Tennessee’s Butch Jones is the only one of the four who’s completed his staff:

ARKANSAS (Bret Bielema)

Jim Chaney – Offensive coordinator/quarterbacks. Previously the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Tennessee for the past four seasons. He's also been the offensive coordinator at Purdue and coached in the NFL with the St. Louis Rams.

Sam Pittman – Offensive line coach. Was the offensive line coach at Tennessee this past season. He was the offensive line coach at North Carolina for five seasons prior to that.

Chris Ash – Defensive coordinator. Previously the defensive coordinator at Wisconsin for two seasons. Worked as the Badgers’ secondary coach in 2010.

Charlie Partridge – Defensive line coach. Spent the last five seasons at Wisconsin, the last two as associate head coach, co-defensive coordinator and defensive line coach.

AUBURN (Gus Malzahn)

Ellis Johnson – Defensive coordinator. Previously the head coach at Southern Miss this past season. He was the defensive coordinator at South Carolina prior to that. He's also been the defensive coordinator at Alabama, Clemson and Mississippi State.

Charlie Harbison – Co-defensive coordinator/defensive backs. Previously the co-defensive coordinator at Clemson for the last two seasons.

Rhett Lashlee – Offensive coordinator. Was the offensive coordinator at Arkansas State this past season. He was at Auburn prior to that.

KENTUCKY (Mark Stoops)

Neal Brown – Offensive coordinator/quarterbacks. Previously the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Texas Tech for the last three seasons. He played his college football at Kentucky.

John Schlarman – Offensive line. Previously the offensive line coach at Troy for the last six seasons. He was an All-SEC guard at Kentucky.

Vince Marrow – Tight ends. Previously the tight ends coach at Nebraska for the last two seasons.

Chad Scott – Offensive assistant. Previously the running backs coach at Texas Tech for the last three seasons.

D.J. Eliot – Defensive coordinator/linebackers. Previously the defensive ends coach at Florida State for the last three seasons.

Bradley Dale Peveto – Special teams/safeties. Previously the head coach at Northwestern State for the last four seasons. He was at LSU prior to that.

TENNESSEE (Butch Jones)

Mike Bajakian – Offensive coordinator/quarterbacks. Previously the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for three seasons at Cincinnati. Also coached at Central Michigan and in the NFL with the Chicago Bears.

Don Mahoney – Offensive line. Previously the offensive line coach at Cincinnati for the last three seasons.

Jay Graham – Running backs. Spent this past season coaching running backs at Tennessee under Derek Dooley. He was at South Carolina for three seasons prior to that.

Zach Azzanni – Receivers. Previously the receivers coach at Wisconsin this past season. He was the offensive coordinator and receivers coach at Western Kentucky in 2011 and coached receivers at Florida in 2010.

Mark Elder – Tight ends. Previously at Cincinnati and coached safeties and special teams last season. He coached the Bearcats’ running backs in 2011 and tight ends in 2010.

John Jancek – Defensive coordinator/linebackers. Previously at Cincinnati for the last three seasons. He was the Bearcats’ defensive coordinator this past season and co-defensive coordinator in 2010-11. He was at Georgia prior to that for five seasons.

Steve Stripling – Assistant head coach/defensive line. Previously the assistant head coach and defensive line coach at Cincinnati for the last three seasons. Has also coached at Central Michigan, Michigan and Michigan State and Minnesota.

Tommy Thigpen – Cornerbacks. Previously at Auburn for the last four seasons. He coached the Tigers’ linebackers this past season and their safeties the three seasons before that.

Willie Martinez – Safeties. Previously the secondary coach at Auburn this past season. He coached the Oklahoma secondary in 2010-11 and was the defensive coordinator/secondary coach at Georgia under Mark Richt from 2001-09.
