Wrapping up Vanderbilt's 2013 signing class
By Chris Low
Vanderbilt's 2013 signing class is the highest-ranked group in school history.
The 26-player class was ranked No. 22 in ESPN's class rankings and included one ESPN 150 prospect and four more prospects in the ESPN 300. The Commodores signed 12 four-star prospects.
"This is a significant day in Vanderbilt football history," Vanderbilt coach James Franklin said. "This signing class is further proof that Vanderbilt has arrived and intends to compete at the highest levels of college football. I'm incredibly happy to inform the Commodore Nation that the future of Vanderbilt Football is right now -- and it's brighter than ever."
The two big gets for the Commodores on signing day were receiver Jordan Cunningham of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and outside linebacker Zach Cunningham of Pinson, Ala. Jordan Cunningham is an ESPN 150 player and ranked the No. 13 receiver in the country. He picked Vanderbilt over Florida State, Miami and Stanford. Zach Cunningham is an ESPN 300 player and ranked as the No. 16 outside linebacker in the country. He picked Vanderbilt over Auburn, Oregon and Tennessee.
