The race in the SEC's Eastern Division is over, and we'll have to wait another week for things to be finalized in the Western Division.
Georgia (9-1, 7-1) clinched its second straight East title last week with a 38-0 win against Auburn. The Bulldogs have won four in a row since their 35-7 loss to South Carolina. Their 17-9 win against Florida served as the tiebreaker over the Gators (9-1, 7-1).
In the West, Alabama (9-1, 6-1) can clinch its trip to the SEC championship game with a win against Auburn at home the final weekend of the regular season. If Auburn were to upset Alabama and then Alabama, LSU and Texas A&M all finished with two SEC losses, the tiebreaker would go to LSU. They would all be 1-1 against each other, so then Alabama would be eliminated because both of the Tide's losses would have come to Western Division teams. That would leave LSU and Texas A&M, and LSU would get the nod based on its head-to-head victory against Texas A&M.
