A look at Kyle Field's new east side

9/4/2014

On Saturday, Texas A&M will host its first game in the partially-renovated Kyle Field as the longtime home of the Aggies undergoes a $450-million redevelopment project.

They'll play in the stadium this season, starting with Saturday's home game versus Lamar, then after this year is complete, the west side of the stadium will be renovated and the fully redeveloped Kyle Field will be unveiled in time for the 2015 season.

The new east side of Kyle Field is virtually complete and on Thursday, we got a sneak peek of the inner workings of the Aggies' new digs. Here's a glance of what's been done so far:

A look at the new facade and one of the activation towers on the east side of the stadium:

Inside the redeveloped east side are completely new concourses with new concession stands:

And here's some of the food you can get in those new concession stands. Chicken fried hot dogs? Yes, sir!

The new suites are quite impressive and SEC ready. All 14 teams helmets in the kitchen/bar area of the suites:

In Texas, the summers (and the falls) are hot and humid. So fans will have access to a "cool zone" which is refreshingly cool upon entry:

Of course, the most important part is the inside of the stadium, where the action really happens. Here's a look at the stadium from the inside:
