It's the kind of news no team wants on the eve of a bowl game.
Arkansas has suspended three players for the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, including two defensive starters, for unspecified violations of team rules.
Linebacker Wendel Davis was the second leading tackler on the team, and safety Matt Harris was the third leading tackler. Also suspended was reserve receiver Marques Wade.
Davis and Harris were both seniors, which makes their suspensions even more difficult to stomach. Plus, the last thing the Hogs can afford is personnel losses on defense. They're ranked 90th nationally in total defense.
