How many mascots do you know that have 5 O'clock shadow?

When the Buffaloes invade Stillwater to take on the Cowboys at 7:30ET on ESPN, most eyes will be focused on QB Zac Robinson (questionable), one of five finalists for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. The Buffaloes have won the last two in Stillwater and 11 of 14 overall, but figuring out who has the edge in this one could be a bit tough if The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) is absent. Let’s take a look at who has the edge in some other notable matchups:



Team Uniforms: Edge > OSU - Thanksgiving is a week away and scarfing down turkey is one of America’s favorite past times. OSU jerseys make us think of yams and we love us some sweet potato pie.

Kidwear: Edge > CU - The Cowboys make a sweet toddler jogging suit that would have any 2-year old jealous, but the Chip Fuzzy Mascot Fleece Hat is the winner here. Just be careful your kid doesn’t go all Where the Wild Things Are on you.

Alumni: Edge > CU – Robert Redford was a Buffalo back in the day, and the Sundance Kid trumps just about anyone. Sorry Doug Gottlieb. Come up with a movie festival of your own and we'll consider reevaluating.

Coach: Edge > OSU – After the Mike Gundy’s rant last season, it would take a Bobby Knight type explosion for any collegiate coach to compete here.

Mascot: Edge > OSU - Chip is cool, but Pistol Pete has stubble. Mascots with facial hair can cheer our team on any day.
