Ok, quick show of hands, who wasn’t expecting the Derek Anderson apology today … calling Browns fans ruthless and undeserving of a winner … today, he went with “whoops” or something along those lines … 2 things here … we love it when people are honest and he might truly believe what he said, only apologizing after his agent/marketing type begged him to … but even if he does feel that way, you can't go public with that … that’s a battle you just can never win or come out of looking good … I understand frustration and heat of the moment, etc., but that’s when you blow off the steam telling it to a buddy not emailing a media member … But I will give him credit for one thing … he said he WASN’T taken out of context which is the excuse that normally accompanies these types of day-late apologies … reminds me of the old football line about “if you have 2 qb’s you don’t have 1”… Anderson gone, shopping Brady Quinn now … is Seneca Wallace or Jake Delhomme really the answer … or are they just 2 more QB's which reminds me of the old football line about … see previous cliché … hate having to repeat myself …
