With two-straight home victories, the Flyers have bounced back to tie the series at two games apiece. Game 5 is Sunday at 8:00 pm ET on NBC.
Wooden Passes Away At Age 99
Hall of Famer and former UCLA head coach John Wooden died Friday night in Los Angeles at age 99.
Former UCLA star Bill Walton said earlier Thursday that he visited with Wooden recently at the hospital. "He's the greatest," Walton said, his voice catching. "We love him." Wooden led the Bruins to 10 NCAA championships.
Tiger Makes Cut, Fowler Steals The Show
Tiger Woods birdied three of the opening five holes, followed by three-straight birdies on his front nine for a 3-under par 69, scoring well enough to continue playing this weekend. 21-year-old Rickie Fowler scored three-straight birdies late in his round for a 6-under-par 66 to tie the 36-hole record at the Memorial tournament, taking a three-shot lead over Justin Rose into the weekend at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio.
World Cup Injury List
Just seven days away from the 2010 World Cup and the injury bug continues to strike. USA striker Jozy Altidore sprained his right ankle during a workout yesterday in South Africa. England captain Rio Ferdinand was hospitalized today after injuring his left knee in practice. And Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba suffered a broken arm during a friendly win over Japan.
Hornets Reportedly Choosing Monty Williams
The New Orleans Hornets changed directions quickly in their coaching search. The team reached an agreement with Portland Trail Blazers assistant Monty Williams to be their next head coach after Boston Celtics assistant Tom Thibodeau withdrew from consideration earlier Friday, sources close to the situation told ESPN.com senior writer Marc Stein.
Orioles Fire Trembley
For Baltimore, it was not a matter of if, but when manager Dave Trembley got his pink slip. The Orioles have fired Trembley in the midst of an eight-game skid that has them with the worst record in the majors. Juan Samuel is the interim manager, with the same results - the Orioles fell to the Red Sox 11-0 Friday.

Calipari Clearing The Air
ESPN.com's Andy Katz reports that Kentucky coach John Calipari denied that his program is under NCAA investigation and that he and NBA MVP LeBron James had discussed a package deal for Calipari to coach him in the NBA.
