From the Big Apple, to Beantown and now Atlanta. Billy Wagner, shown here in a Mets uniform, will be with his third team in two years. BRAVES REACH PRELIMINARY DEAL WITH WAGNER:
The Atlanta Braves have reached a preliminary agreement with closer Billy Wagner. The deal would pay Wagner 7 million dollars for 2010 with a vesting option for 2011. Wagner has 385 career saves, 6th all-time.

Alex Ovechkin faces his first NHL suspension. OVECHKIN SUSPENDED:
Alexander Ovechkin gets two games off and the NHL will keep about 99-thousand dollars of his salary, after suspending the reigning two-time MVP. Ovechkin's first NHL suspension comes after his knee-to-knee hit on Carolina's Tim Gleason Monday night. Ovechkin has claimed the incident was an accident.
