Dennis Johnson played 14 NBA seasons in his career with three teams (4 with Sonics, 3 with Suns, 7 with Celtics) and won 3 NBA titles (1978-79 with Sonics (MVP of Finals), 1983-84 and 1985-86 with Celtics). He was named a 5-time All-Star and 6-time NBA All-Defensive 1st team selection. The Celtics franchise has retired Johnson's number 3 jersey, which hangs from the rafters of the TD Garden. In 1,100 games, Johnson scored 15,535 points, grabbed 4,249 rebounds and gave 5,499 assists, translating to career averages of 14.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game - he no doubt has a Hall of Fame resume. He passed away in December of 2007. Celtics colleague Danny Ainge called him one of "the most underrated players of all time. As he is enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame this weekend, hear in his own words his thoughts on the Boston Celtics, playing with Larry Bird and the Hall of Fame.
