BLOUNT FORCE TRAUMA
Titans rookie running back LeGarrette Blount punched defensive end Eric Bakhtiari at practice yesterday. This came after he was suspended by Oregon for eight games last season for punching Boise State defensive end Byron Hout. "That was my past. It just came up again...With training camp and everything going the way it is and being as intense as it is and me being a rookie, it was just something I shouldn't have done. But I did it."
More of what's happening At This Hour, including an offer in to Dusty Baker, and when Ryan Howard should be back, after the jump.
REDS: IN DUSTY WE TRUSTY
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Reds have offered Dusty Baker a contract extension. He's managed the Reds to a three-game lead in the Central in the final year of a three-year deal. It's unknown how long of an extension he's been offered, and Baker said he has no deadline to make a decision.
RYAN TRYING FOR MONDAY
Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard says he is targeting Monday for his return from a sprained ankle. He had hoped to be back in the lineup this week, but now plans to go on a rehab assignment this weekend and be activated in time for the series opener against Houston.
