Amare Stoudemire is licking his lips at the thought of the Knicks' seventh straight win.
It's that time of year. No, not the time of year when you have to force yourself to the mall at 11 at night to get a set of reindeer coasters for your aunt (well, yes, it is that time of year, but that's not what we're talking about). It's that time of year when college football takes a big breath before bowl season, college basketball heats up, and NFL teams are in the thick of a playoff race. So let's get down to the watching (and, yes, the shopping) in another edition of For Sale Friday. To the deals!
Knicks at Wizards
Friday at 7 (ET)
For the first time since the end of the 2000-2001 season, the Knicks (14-9) are five games above .500. They enter tonight’s game, winners of six straight and ten of their last eleven. Even more impressive, the Knicks have now won seven straight on the road, tied for the second longest road win streak in franchise history. New York’s longest road win streak is 12, which came in 1969, the same year they won their first NBA title. Commemorate the 1969-1970 squad with this Knicks championship banner.
Navy at Army
Saturday at 2:30 (ET) on CBS
It’s one of college football’s most historic rivalries. That’s right, Army-Navy. Well, actually, this year it’s Navy-Army, but tomato, tomaaahto, right? If you’re looking for something to pump you up before the game, why not do a little simulation … old school style. That’s right, we’re talking about Army-Navy chess! Yours for only $59.99! More if you need a Chess For Dummies handbook in order to play.
Patriots at Bears
Sunday at 4:15 (ET) on CBS
The Pats won a big test last week against the Jets. Their reward? Another big test at Chicago (9-3). Can Tom Brady and his flowing locks drive up the score on another one of the NFL’s best defenses? That’s a good question. Another good question is what will you wear on your head while you watch? A Tom Brady wig, duh! While we couldn’t find a Tom Brady wig, per say, we did find a Carol Brady wig, and we think that’s pretty darn close. Wear it and cheer if you're a Pats fan, or go ahead and burn it if you’re not.
