Hard-hitting safety Delano Howell talks about facing another spread team in Washington State and what the Cardinal secondary is on the lookout for against the Cougars.

First down: How much do you take from the Arizona game and the fact that you have seen a similar spread offense?

Howell: Arizona was good preparation for Washington State. We know that Washington State is a very talented team. They have great receivers and they are going to present some other difficulties. We're definitely looking forward to the challenge and we're excited for this week.

Second down: Where has the secondary made the most strides from Week 1 until now?

Howell: I think as a whole, we're swarming to the ball and trusting each other.

Third down: Where do you think the secondary needs the most improvement?

Howell: Not limiting ourselves to what we're capable of.

Fourth down: What's the biggest challenge that a quarterback like Marshall Lobbestael presents?

Howell: He has great vision. He's got a great arm. He's got a lot of confidence in his wide receivers and his receivers make good plays. All of those things work together pretty well. It's going to be a challenge.
