Week 11 helmet stickers

11/10/2013

When you knock off the No. 2 team in the country and dash a rival’s national title hopes, some recognition is deserved. Here are the Stanford players who earned Helmet Stickers following the win over Oregon:

RB Tyler Gaffney: The Stanford senior ran for 157 yards on a school-record 45 carries and scored Stanford's first touchdown of the night. His ability to pick up first downs in short-yardage situations was the key to Stanford's 42:34-17:26 time of possession advantage.

QB Kevin Hogan: His stat line doesn't show how well Hogan played. He completed 7 of 13 passes for 103 yards, but ran for 57 more on eight carries. Half of his carries went for either first downs or touchdowns.

LB Shayne Skov: With 16 NFL teams represented in some capacity, Skov turned in his best game of the season. He forced two fumbles, recovered one, made two tackles for a loss and finished with a team-high nine tackles. His stat line doesn't show how well Hogan played. He completed 7 of 13 passes for 103 yards, but ran for 57 more on eight carries. Half of his carries went for either first downs or touchdowns.
