Cardinal on upset alert

By Kevin Gemmell

ESPN Insider Will Harris offered his computer-assisted take and determined Stanford and Wisconsin are both on upset alert this week.

The Cardinal face No. 25 Washington -- the first ranked opponent of the No. 8 Cardinal.
Writes Harris:

Stanford has a rookie head coach, hasn't played a winning team yet and is substantially weaker at receiver and linebacker than last year's Orange Bowl squad. However, Stanford still has Andrew Luck, a pair of All-American-caliber offensive linemen, a pretty salty defensive line and a trio of tight ends who cause matchup problems for everyone.

In a related story, Washington quarterback Keith Price is the nation's most undderated quarterback, according to ESPN's KC Joyner.
Writes Joyner

Price has the fifth-highest passer rating in the nation, ranking behind Russell Wilson, Robert Griffin III, Kellen Moore and Andrew Luck. Also, according to CFBstats.com, Price has the third-highest passer rating against FBS teams, which vaults him ahead of Moore and Luck to trail only Wilson and Griffin. In other words, Price is the nation's most efficient passer through six games to not be considered a Heisman contender.
