Most consecutive pass attempts without an interception in Div I football? -- @marcusahume
The West Virginia Mountaineers' Geno Smith has thrown 222 passes since his last interception (Dec. 1 at South Florida). The FBS record for most consecutive passes without an interception is held by Russell Wilson, 379 attempts without a pick in 2008-09 when he was at North Carolina State. Second on the list is Kentucky’s Andre Woodson with 325 followed by Fresno State’s Trent Dilfer with 271 straight attempts without an interception in 1993.

It seems missed fgs are happening a lot more. What stats do we have for missed fgs? In general Or games w/top 25 -- @ KcSmurthwaite
So far this season, FBS kickers have made 69.4 percent of their field goal attempts. If the rate stays the same for the rest of the season, it will be the first time that kickers missed more than 30 percent of their kicks since 2005 and the lowest success rate since 2004, when only 67.5 percent of field goal attempts were successful.

How have the new KO rules affected starting field position? Onside kick recoveries? -- @4thdownins
The offsetting changes to the kickoff rules -- moving the kickoff spot from the 30 to the 35 and bringing touchbacks from the 20 to 25 -- have had a minimal impact on starting field position.

Through five weeks, touchbacks on kickoffs have increased from 16.5 to 38 percent, but the average starting field positions on kickoffs has barely budged from the 28 to the 27.

Despite more than 700 more kicks resulting in touchbacks, there has been one more kickoff return for a touchdown this season than there was at this point last year.

This wk Montana fell out of FCS top 25 for first time since 1998. What is the longest current FBS streak? -- @grizfan27
Alabama has been in the AP top 25 for 71 consecutive weeks dating to 2008. The next highest is LSU at 54 weeks.

Texas Tech has had the #1 defense the last 2 weeks. When was the last time a Big 12 team lead this category? -- @andy_kahn
TCU of the Big 12 led in total defense earlier this season, but the last Big 12 team to finish a season ranked 1st in total defense was Texas in 2001.

In the last three games is Iowa's RB Mark Weisman top 5 in the nation in rushing yards? -- @CN_Tennis18
Yes he is. In the last three weeks (since Sept. 13), Weisman ranks second in FBS with 507 yards rushing. Only Nevada’s Stefphon Jefferson has more with 595 yards.
